From sharing the stage with Jerry Lewis, Grace Knight, Sophie Monk, David Campbell, Tom Burlinson, Rhonda  Burchmore, Bobby Flynn, John – Paul Young , The Morrison Brothers and Kamahl, Malcolm Wood has some amazing musical stories to tell. After 15 years as Section Leader with the 2/14th Light Horse Queensland Mounted Infantry Army Reserve Band and Lead Trumpet with the P & O ” Fairstar ” Orchestra, Malcolm has developed a large repertoire of popular standards. Malcolm has performed with festivals such as the Woodford Folk Festival, Broadbeach Blues Festival, Brisbane Festival, Riverfire, Broadbeach Jazz Festival, Brisbane Cabaret Festival and the Valley Jazz Festival. Malcolm has been the Bandleader of the” Bowery Hot Five” at the Bowery Bar in the Fortitude Valley Nightclub district for 6 years and is the Trumpet player of choice with the ” Up the River Band ” at the Story Bridge Hotel who have been performing every Sunday for over 17 years.  From his international tours of London, Canada, Denmark, Taiwan, New Zealand, Fiji, Tonga, Samoa and Papua New Guinea, Malcolm brings a wealth of show business experiences to his Solo Trumpet performances.
