John Peek has been working as a professional performer, director and teacher for over twelve years. In his last three years, John has held the position of Voice Lecturer for the University of Southern Queensland, directed The Magic Flute, An Opera Odyssey, The Call Back and The Merry Widow, as well we continuing his performing career with the roles of Lysander in A Midsummer Night’s Dream and Ferrando in Cosi Fan Tutte. John’s performance career spans Music Theatre, Opera and Oratorio.  Some of his Opera and Music Theatre credits include:  Tony in Westside Story,  Nanki Poo in The Mikado, Motel in Fiddler on the Roof, Dr Blind in Die Fledermaus, Le Mari in Le Mamelles de Terisias,  Misael in The Burning Fiery Furnace, Lord Lechery in The Pilgrim’s Progress, Cliff in Sunset Boulevard, Fenton in Falstaff, Count Almaviva in The Barber of Seville, Jupiter in Semele and many ensemble roles in Figaro, Tosca, Cavellaria Rusticana, Pagliacci, Andrea Chenier, Going into shadows, Aida, Orpheus in the Underworld, Kind Arthur, and Carousel as well as numerous parts in Gale Edward’s Award Winning production of Sweeney Todd.
