Winners of the YouBloom International Songwriting Competition, Hannah Macklin (with her band The Maxwells) received much attention since their formation in early 2010, playing alongside some of Australia’s freshest musical offerings, including Ray Mann, The Rescue Ships, Pear & The Awkward Orchestra and Emma Dean – and, in their first ever show, supported the incredible Katie Noonan to a sold-out audience at The Globe. In 2010, Hannah was invited to represent Australia at the Shanghai World Expo, where she performed six nights a week for six weeks to huge international crowds, and opened for Sneaky Sound System at the final Australian Pavilion Party.
